At MoneyHello, our mission is to simplify personal finance for South Africans by providing transparent information, educational guides, and a seamless loan matching service. To keep our platform and resources 100% free for everyday consumers, we operate as an advertising-supported business.
This page explains exactly how we make money, so you can make informed decisions when using our website.
How We Make Money
MoneyHello is an independent loan comparison and matching platform, not a bank, credit provider, or financial advisor.
We generate revenue through referral fees (often called affiliate commissions or lead generation fees). When you use our loan matching form and are successfully connected with or approved by one of the National Credit Regulator (NCR) registered lenders in our network, that lender pays us a fee for the referral.
This does not cost you anything. The fees we receive from our partners do not increase the interest rate, initiation fees, or total cost of any loan you choose to take out.
How Compensation Affects Our Site
While we strive to provide a wide variety of financial options, the offers that appear on our platform are from third-party advertisers from which MoneyHello receives compensation. This compensation may impact how and where products appear on this site (including, for example, the order in which they are presented to you in your matches).
MoneyHello does not include all lenders or all loan products available in the South African market.
Our Editorial Independence
Trust is our most valuable asset. The educational articles, guides, and tips published on the MoneyHello Blog are created independently by our editorial team.
Our writers and editors are not influenced by our advertising partners. Our lending partners cannot pay to rewrite our articles, alter our financial advice, or bypass our editorial standards. We are committed to providing objective, accurate, and helpful information to help you manage your money safely.
You Are Always in Control
Using MoneyHello is entirely voluntary. You are never under any obligation to use our matching tool, click on our links, or accept a loan offer from any of our partners. We strongly encourage you to compare your options, read the specific terms and conditions provided by the lender, and ensure any financial commitment fits comfortably within your budget before signing an agreement.
